Kitchen Remodeling In Wilmington, MA
A kitchen remodel in Wilmington starts with how you actually use the room: where the work triangle falls, how much storage you need, whether the layout stays where it is or the island moves. Brightwork plans the plumbing, electrical and gas first and the finishes second, and you get the scope, the price and the schedule in writing before anything starts.

Planning Your Kitchen In Wilmington
Wilmington's permit package is walked from department to department in person, and the town is explicit that it is the applicant's job to guide it through. That is a step Brightwork takes on rather than one you do, and it goes into the schedule as a date.
Every building permit package must include either a document confirming no asbestos was found or a DEP Asbestos Notification Form, and we sort that out at the start. Whether the Board of Health signs before the building inspector depends on whether your home is on municipal sewer or a private septic system, which we establish for your address before the proposal.
Where a building permit applies, we file it with the Building Department, Inspector of Buildings, on paper at Town Hall, and the required inspections go into the written schedule.
How A Brightwork Kitchen Project Runs
The visit comes first, and it is short. We look at the room, the framing, and the plumbing, electrical and gas behind it, and we tell you what we find rather than what would be easiest to sell. Then you get a written scope and a written price before anything is committed, so the number you approve is the number you pay unless the scope changes.
Licensed plumbers and electricians complete and permit their portions of the work, and Brightwork coordinates those trades within the written project schedule. Where gas is involved, for a range or a new hood run, that permit is the licensed gas fitter's, coordinated the same way.
Once we start you hear from us on the days we are working. If something behind the wall changes the plan, you get photographs and real numbers, and nothing further happens until you say so.
Jacqueson Teixeira holds a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, MA HIC Reg. #220750. Work that requires a licensed supervisor is supervised in house.
