Built-In Or Furniture? How A Custom Built-In Is Planned, Priced, And Fitted
When a built-in earns its place, when furniture is the smarter buy, and how a piece that does not exist yet gets an honest price.
Built-ins and trim measured to your house, not to a catalog.
Bookcases, mudroom and laundry built-ins, wainscoting, mantels, stair rails, and the trim that makes a room read as finished. Measured twice, scribed tight, finished cleanly.
We normally reply the same day.

Finish carpentry is the part of the house you touch and see every day: the built-in that turns a wasted wall into the best storage in the house, the stair rail that feels solid under your hand, the trim that makes a room read as finished. It is also where a sixteenth of an inch shows.
We measure the wall, the floor, and the ceiling as they are, not as the drawing says they should be, and build to that. Built-ins are scribed to the floor and the wall so the reveals stay even; trim profiles are matched to the house or the closest honest equivalent, and we tell you which before we start. You can bring a photo or a sketch; we give you a written scope for the version that fits your home and your budget, including what we would change and why.

Jacqueson reads every inquiry himself, and we normally reply the same day.
You have a reply.
A short conversation about what you have in mind, then a visit at a time that works for you, with straight answers and no sales pitch.
You have a visit on the calendar.
A written, itemized proposal: scope, price, schedule. You approve before anything starts.

We show up when we said we would, the site is clean at the end of every day, and updates come to you: what was done today, what happens tomorrow, and the moment anything changes.
You have a note at the end of every working day.
Then we walk every detail together. The project is done when you say it is done. How every project runs, in full.
