A door that sticks is usually a hinge, a jamb, or a house that has moved, and we fix the cause rather than planing the symptom. New doors, slab or prehung, are hung plumb with even reveals and hardware that catches cleanly. Casing, baseboard, and window trim are matched to the existing profiles or the closest honest equivalent, and in homes built before 1978 we confirm what Massachusetts lead-safe rules require before the proposal.

- Do you take small trim jobs, like one room or a few doors?
- Yes. Small, well-defined projects are welcome, they get the same written scope and clean-site treatment as a full remodel, and they are often the first project a homeowner trusts us with.
- Can you match the existing trim in an older home?
- Usually yes. We measure the existing profiles and either source a match or fabricate the closest honest equivalent, and we tell you up front which one it will be.
- Does an older home change anything?
- It can. Homes built before 1978 may contain lead paint, and Massachusetts has lead-safe rules for work that disturbs painted surfaces. We confirm the age of your home before the proposal and tell you plainly what applies to your project.
- Prehung or slab?
- Prehung when the jamb is worn or out of square; a slab when the frame is sound. We tell you which before the proposal, and why.
